Entrance mats are used to capture dirt, not to disperse it throughout the building. When storing them in the spring, it is essential to clean them properly. Adequate maintenance allows the carpets to be preserved and reused the following winter.

Here are the 5 steps for a thorough cleaning

1. VACUUM

Vacuum the carpet to remove any accumulated dirt.

2. CLEAN THE CARPET

Using an extractor, clean the carpet using one of the following two cleaners:

Rinse well.

Carpet Extractor

3. DRY THE CARPET

Excess water should be removed by extracting or hanging the mat.

Area rugs must be completely dry before being put away for the summer.

4. CLEAN THE GLUE

To hold mats in place, sometimes they need to be secured with tape.

To remove traces of glue, spray TAG-OUT ready-to-use cleaner directly on the glue residue, let the product work and rinse thoroughly.

5. PREVENTION OF BAD ODORS

To prevent unpleasant odours, spray BIO-DOR undiluted over the entire surface of the carpet. Allow drying before storing.
